ROAD ROLLER

The intelligent road roller compaction system from Scada-King is a valuable tool for building high quality roads. Intelligent Compaction is a collection of roller features that can be used to monitor and adjust the compaction process. Our tried and tested solution is the most robust in the industry and is also widely used by OEMs. The Intelligent Compaction (IC) system may include:

  • Accelerometers and a highly accurate GPS to track machine-ground interaction and the position of the roller.
  • Infrared temperature gauges to monitor the temperature at the ground surface.
  • A computer with a dedicated software program that processes compaction data and reports measurement values.
  • Display readouts and controls to give feedback to the roller operator and allow for adjustment of compaction operations.

This system implements quality control in this way:


  •  Records the number of roller passes and measures material stiffness
  •  All quality checks of the roller work occurs in real time
  •  Compaction and density is maintained as per the quality specified
  •  The pre-defined asphalt temperature for specific passes is maintained
  •  Road job summary may be reviewed by project, section, or layer
  •  Maintains a continuous record of color-coded plot
  •  Compaction values are included in job summaries
